BUHARI, MASARI Pledge to Patronize PAN

he Board of PAN Nigeria Limited has pledged loyalty and support to the new administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. The assurance was given when the Board of Directors of the company paid a courtesy visit to the President (then President-elect) at his residence in Kaduna.

The delegation which was led by the Chairman of the company, Alhaji Munir Ja'afar (YarimanZazzau), congratulated the President for his victory at the polls, which he said was a testimony of how accepted the president is to the majority of the Nigerian electorates across the ethnic and religious divides.

"We are confident that your unique attributes of honesty, discipline, selflessness and perseverance that have over the years endeared you to the common man, will help re-shape Nigeria's socio-political and economic lives." The chairman added. Alhaji Munir who led the board consisting of representatives from the company's technical partners, AP France and PAN Dealers' Association, further stated that PAN as a manufacturer of Peugeot brand of vehicles in Nigeria is hopeful that the country's automotive industry will benefit enormously from the President's wealth of experience. 'Considering the fact that you are an individual known for strict adherence to due process." The chairman emphasized. Alhaji Munir, however pleaded with the new administration to patronize locally assembled vehiclesas this will go a long way in boosting production and employment in the country.

While responding, the President thanked the delegation for the visit saying, the task ahead is enormous. He maintained that upon assumption of duty, his administration will first tackle the issues of Security, Corruption and Unemployment. President Buhari added that in tackling the issue of unemployment, attention will be given to industries in the country. He therefore pledges to support the activities of PAN and other industries that can generate employments for Nigerian youths.

In a similar development, the management of PAN Nigeria Limited has visited the Katsina State Governor (then Governor-elect), Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari at Katsina. While presenting congratulatory letter to the governor, the Managing Director, PAN Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Ibrahim Boyi congratulated the governor for his victory at the April 11th gubernatorial polls. He informed the governor that Katsina State being one of the shareholders of company, he found it obligatory on him to come and congratulate him personally.

He also prayed that GOD should give the new administration wisdom to bring about the much needed dividends of democracy to the people.
