s part of it's Corporate Social Responsibility, PAN Nigeria Limited has once more demonstrated its leadership and concern for Nigerian citizens by donating the sum of N125 million to the victims of terrorism attacks in Nigeria.
According to the company's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ibrahim Boyi, the donation was in response to the call made by the President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on all corporate bodies to support the "Terrorism Victims' Support Fund (VSF)", an initiative launched recently at the Presidential Villa.
In a letter addressed to the Secretary of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, Mr. Boyi said the company will provide N25 million worth of cars to the Secretariat of the Terrorism Victims' Support Fund, headed by Gen. Theophilous Danjuma (rtd.). The cars, which have already been presented, will go a long way to ease the logistic needs of the Gen. Danjuma led committee. In addition, PAN will provide free tuition, valued at N100 million to 100 qualifi ed family members of the victims that will be nominated by the VSF Foundation for technical acquisition programme in Automotive Repair and Maintenance training aimed at resettling the victims towards sustainable means of livelihood.
Mr. Boyi enthused that the token donation by PAN Nigeria Limited will go a long way towards achieving the goals of the Foundation in providing succor to the victims of terrorism in Nigeria.
The Managing Director later congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan for the successful launch of the VSF, describing it as a well thought out initiative that will no doubt provide succor to the victims of the unfortunate terror attacks currently affl icting part of the country and further conveyed the company's sympathy and assurances of support to the President and the leadership of the VSF Foundation.
